The University of Hawai‘i football season took another surprising turn this past week when the team was extended an invitation to play the Houston Cougars - "the other UH" - in the New Mexico Bowl. At the same time, we are seeing more UH players enter the NCAA transfer portal. We discuss the numbers game that coaches will be playing in the offseason-- how can they bring in new recruits while holding spots for the Seniors who have been granted another year of eligibility?
